What is the difference between the "conscious mind," and the "subconscious mind?"
The conscious mind is the rational, critical, logical, and analytical part of the mind. The subconscious is the perceptive, creative, imaginative part where our emotions (way from childhood) and our habits are stored.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is like daydreaming; it is a normal, natural, safe and healthy phenomenon.
It is also a technique that enables you to access what is commonly referred to as trance state where the critical, analytical part of the mind can be by-passed to access the imaginative, creative subconscious. In this state the mind can focus on solving emotional issues which have become obstacles to living a healthy successful life
.
Is hypnosis scientifically recognized?
Hypnosis has been approved by the American Medical Association since 1958.
How many sessions does it take?
Because very client is unique it is impossible for me to answer this question with an absolute number. Because, too, the subconscious mind only accepts what it believes to be true, hypnotherapy uses repetitions to achieve positive change and lasting results. This means that a minimum of three to six sessions are usually necessary to ensure success. Some rare cases may require more sessions.
There are instances, however, where some of my clients have improved or even become healed after only one session; these people were usually troubled with grief (following the death of a loved one) or phobia.
Sessions focusing on relaxation (stress relief) like our Mind Spa have been designed as once in a while sessions like one would a lymphatic massage or a reflexology session.
What does being in a state of hypnotic trance feel like?
It feels like a deep, peaceful state of relaxation where you are still aware of the sounds surrounding you while you simply couldn’t be bothered with them or with opening your eyes and spoiling such a wonderful feeling.
Who can be hypnotized?
With the exception of psychotherapy patients, I can hypnotize anyone willing to be hypnotized. I usually deal with English speaking clients, although I have been successful healing Chinese speaking people with the help of an interpreter.
Can I make you do things against your will?
Don’t believe what you see in movies! No one can be forced to act against their wishes even while in hypnosis. The subconscious mind can only accept what it is willing to accept.
